Description
"By the time we were hungry, but luckily a little cup of mate was going around the circle plus someone brought left over cornbread or vegan brownies baked for last weekend's political prisoner's benefit. And so the idea for this zine expanded like bread rising in a bowl: So much of our connection to origin, culture and tradition take place through the making and sharing of food; so much of our relationships to one another are entwined with our relationships to food and to our own racialized, gendered bodies; so much of our politics on global power, social and economic structures are manifested in our choices about the most basic, intimate necessities of our existence. Why not create a project about food?"
