Description
Many global movements were inspired by the 1994 Zapatista uprising in Chiapas, in protest of state control and neo-liberalism. Among these were the series of actions and protests against the G8 summit in Genova. This documentary details the motivating ideology, organizing logistics of those actions, and escalating police violence and brutality leading up to the 300,000 mass protest in July of 2001. The film gets its title from the two security perimeters that were set up by security forces: dubbed by them as the "yellow zone" and the "red zone". Documentary. Approx. 66 mins.
